I'm Natalie Prior the freelance copywriter behind Priority Copy and I help small business owners add passion and purpose to their marketing and PR copy to make their brand more likeable.
My love of storytelling began at school when English was my favourite subject and I relished my role as a cub reporter on the school newspaper. I always had my head in a book and used a torch to read under the covers long after lights out!
After graduating with a degree in communications almost 25 years ago, I fulfilled my childhood dream of becoming a trainee reporter on my local newspaper. After qualifying as a senior journalist, I was promoted to assistant editor of two weekly newspapers before moving to two regional dailies as a freelance sub-editor and ultimately back to weekly newspapers as a content manager.
I took a side step to manage the B2B marketing publications portfolio for a global industrial distributor and later moved into magazines to become editor of Midlands Living where I wrote editorial and commercial copy. In 2019, I volunteered to work on a local hospice's PR, communications and digital media campaigns before launching Priority Copy that autumn.
